I have tried the flowplayer, but it only supports flv and the converters to convert files (avi, mpeg etc) are still in their infancy. ffmpeg is really buggy, so I am looking for alternatives. Thanks!

March 23rd, 2011 admin Since google video has, understandably, removed one (but likely not the last) of my videos, i’ve decided to make my own flash video player for my site, since i’ll also be getting freewebs premium with more space and bandwidth as well.
My life story aside, how do i make a -custom- flash player? not one of those ready made components, i know how to make those (though i still need to know what html/xml to use so i can change the source file). I’m talking about my own version with my own colour scheme, button images, layout, etc.
So, any tutorial as to how to make one? and for how to change the source file, via actionscript or xml, js, whatever it is.

March 23rd, 2011 admin Ok, here’s the deal. I’ve already built my flash player, and I’ve got a webpage that I need to put the player into, so publishing the player as html is out. I’m using DreamWeaver and I’ve already tried the Insert > Media > SWF nothing happens. You can see the player, but you can’t play of the videos that I have loaded.
The player plays everything if I just open flash and press CTRL+enter.
Any ideas?
